The Victorian Christmas Festivities are quickly approaching and the excitement is building! It is very heartwarming to see citizens of our community come together to make this project magical. This year’s Victorian Christmas has something to interest all ages and of course our Extension staff, 4-Hers and volunteer leaders from our Youth Development Program are happy to be involved!

Amidst all the performances, street peddlers and festivities, there will be a Victorian Costume Contest held on the steps of the Historical Chattooga County Courthouse. The contest is sponsored by Chattooga County 4-H and is open to the public, with the exception of the Victorian Window Readers. It is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. outside of the courthouse. All contestants should arrive at 4:45 p.m. to enter. There is no entry fee and Adult and Youth Divisions are offered.  Ribbons and prizes will be awarded.

It is a proven fact that community support and involvement are key to any successful event. This weekend offers many opportunities for families to spend quality time together making many memorable Christmas memories right here in our community. Whether you are dressed in Victorian attire or just regular street clothes, we hope to see you this weekend!
