The murder trial of Hays Prison Inmate Sira Juddin Quidar continued yesterday in Chattooga County Superior Court.  Quidar is accused of killing fellow inmate Willie Morgan after an altercation during a Muslim Prayer service being held inside Hays State Prison in 2007.  Quidar allegedly beat and kicked Morgan who suffered extensive head injuries and later died from the beating.

AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News spoke with Sheriff Ralph Kellett yesterday afternoon, Kellett said that two of the wittnesses in the case had been assaulted at the prison and were not being ver forthcoming in their testimony for the prosecution during the trial.  The two men were stabbed and cut during altercations at the prison earlier this week, but neither had life threatning injuries. 

The jury hearing the trial of Quidar consists of 10 men and two women.  Quidar was serving time in prison for armed robbery charges at the time of the 2007 murder.
