According to Rome police records:
Gerardo Cabrera Perez of 46 10th Ave., Trion, was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his 1994 Acura Integra. After crossing the median, Perez collided with a 2003 Kia Sorento driven by Phillip Wayne Lenis, 440 Dry Creek Road, Summerville, traveling eastbound. The impact caused the Kia to roll over and travel 82 feet on its roof. Perez then collided with a 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Kerry Ketrina Kirby, 362 Sunset Drive, Summerville, who was traveling eastbound behind Lenis. The report stated Emergency Medical Services treated the three drivers and the injured drivers were transported to Floyd Medical Center.
Perez was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, too fast for conditions, “license required; surrender of” and safety belt violations, according to Floyd County Jail reports.
