Another area hospital is making a public announcement that they will be totally tobacco free.
Redmond Regional Medical Center has announced in a press release that beginning August 1, 2008 their entire Rome Campus will be tobacco free. Already Redmond has put an hault to any employees using tobacco on hospital grounds, now that restriction will apply to patients, visitors, vendors and everyone that is on hospital property.
Earlier this spring, AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio News told you that DeKalb Medical Center in Ft. Payne and Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga had implemented a total ban on tobacco products.
Redmond cited health concerns as the reason for their decision.
