A bar in Rome may have problems with the city’s alcohol control board after a dancer at the club was accused of a lewd dance with a patron. The Lantern has come under investigation by the board after an off duty police officer observed a lap dance at the establishment. The bar features scantily clad dancers which are legal under Rome city ordinances; however the dance was evidently in violation of that ordinance. The city’s Alcohol Control Commission is likely to impose a 15 day alcohol suspension against the establishment. Owners of the bar say that they did not sanction the behavior and promised it won’t happen again.
