A Rome businessman has purchased the Rome Auto Auction after the business was auctioned off on the Floyd County Courthouse steps due to bankruptcy.  Andy Morris, CEO of Reliable Healthcare Management that operates eight health care facilities in Georgia, has acquired the old Rome Auto Auction on U.S. 411 just across the Bartow County line.

Morris has also secured a franchise for a "Batteries Plus" store in Rome.  Morris said that he will re-name the auto auction "411 Auto Auction" and hopes to re-build the business.  The Floyd County businessman also said that he may hold other specialty auctions at the location.
