The internal investigation involving Rome Fire Marshall Scott Silvey has been completed.

Rome Fire Chief Gordon Henderson would not say what disciplinary action had been taken. However, sources state that it appears that Silvey has been terminated pending appeal.

Henderson was able to confrim that Silvey was appealing the disciplinary action. Henderson said the process for appeals starts with him and could involve several steps.

Henderson declined to say why this latest disciplinary action was for.

This is the second time Silvey has been involved in a disciplinary action. Back in February of this year Silvey was arrested and charged with simple battery and public drunkenness.
