A Rome man was arrested Monday on warrants charging him with attempting to drug a woman before she drove two children home from a restaurant.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Terry Lee Lynn, 33, of 180-B Hennon Drive, was arrested by Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies around 6 a.m. He was charged with reckless conduct and child endangerment.

Police warrants stated that on Dec. 30, while at a Rome restaurant, Lynn “unlawfully and with intent placed amphetamines in the drink of the victim without her knowledge in an attempt to endanger her health and the safety of her two children.”

Warrants stated “the accused did this knowing the victim would shortly be driving a vehicle with the two children inside.”

He remains in jail without bail.
