A Rome man remained jailed Thursday morning on felony charges stemming from his alleged involvement in a Nov. 27 shooting on Peachtree Street, reports stated.

According to warrants and reports from the Floyd County Jail:

Marshain Dontai Hamilton, 31, of 70 Wade St., was jailed on felony warrants for two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault and a felony charge of fugitive from justice from Cook County, Ill.

Hamilton allegedly shot a man on Nov. 27 on Peachtree Street, causing "substantial scarring due to the gunshot injury," according to warrants.
