A Rome man was killed Tuesday in a three-vehicle wreck in Gilmer County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol reports:

Morris Stanfield Lively, age 58, of Rome was operating a motorcycle eastbound on Ga. 136 about 14 miles west of Ellijay when the motorcycle crossed the centerline and hit the driver’s side tire on the first tandem of a tractor trailer.

Gilmer County Coroner Jerry Hensley said Lively died as a result of injuries sustained in the wreck.

The motorcycle came back into the eastbound lane and the cycle and operator were hit by another vehicle.
