Rome police are investigating the theft of more than $2,800 in items from five medical offices on Redmond Road, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

Officers responded to 550 Redmond Road Friday at 7:10 a.m. and found that a number of offices had been broken into overnight, with thousands of dollars worth of damage done as well.

Police reported that a number of pairs of glasses, cash and a computer were taken, totaling up to $2,823. Police estimated that the damage done during the burglary was more than $4,900.

Rome police detectives are investigating, but police had not yet reported any suspects in the crime.
