Forbes Magazine has compiled a list of the 179 best small places for business and careers, and the Rome community appears at No. 112 on the list.

Forbes looked at historical job and income growth, migration trends, business costs and living costs to make the rankings. The highest placing Georgia city was Athens, at #13 on the list. The only other area city making the list was Dalton at #115. Number one on the national list was Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
