A Floyd County woman remained in jail Saturday morning after allegedly crashing her car into another vehicle with the intent to harm the driver while her own children were in the backseat, reports stated.

According to Floyd County jail records:

Ashtred Latara Gordon, 19, of 1328 Crane Street, Rome, was arrested late Friday night after she allegedly chased another woman in her vehicle before crashing her car into the victim’s automobile.

According to the victim’s statement to deputies, Gordon then exited the vehicle and “aggressively approached” the victim. Gordon then allegedly hit the victim in the face with her fists and punched her torso before biting her.

Gordon’s two children were in the backseat of the car when Gordon crashed into the victim. It is unclear from the report why Gordon allegedly assaulted the woman.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, battery and reckless driving as well as a felony of cruelty to children, which is a felony.
