Information coming from the Walker County Superior Court indicates that a new start date in the Sam Parker Murder Trial will have to be set due to a scheduling conflict. Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Judge Bo Wood is scheduled to hear the trial and has a scheduling conflict with the original June 8th trial date. Defense attorneys are expected to ask for a change of venue at a motion hearing which is scheduled to be heard on May 15th.
Parker, who is a former City of LaFayette Police officer, is charged with murder in the 2007 disappearance of his wife, a former Walker County 911 employee, Theresa Parker.
