The search continues this morning for the missing teen on Tate Road in the Trion area.  Yesterday afternoon two boys wandered into the dangerous flood waters on Tate Road.  Both boys were quickly swept up in the flood waters.

One of the boys was rescued out of the water and the search was on for the second boy.  Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett told AM 1180 that the search would continue into the night until the boy was recovered.

Family members reportedly told Chattanooga television reporters that the boys had seen a car in the flood waters and thought that someone might be trapped inside.  That has not been confirmed by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department.

The Department of Natural Resources has brought in additional man power and equipment throughout the night to aid in the search for the missing boy.

At first light prison crews along with volunteer firemen will begin the search in earnest again for the boy.  Workers went for fuel and food this morning around 5 AM.

Stay tuned to AM 1180 for continuing developments in this story.
