The Summerville Fire Department had a busy day on Tuesday.  Several fire calls came in to the department, fortunately none were serious.

First, Summerville Firemen were called to the Summerville Middle School for a fire alarm call that proved to be nothing.

Then several fire calls were reported on Commerce Street.  A small fire was reported near the Pledger Mini Storage Building then another at Don Lolo’s and several other places.  At first it was believe that the fires were being set.

However, Investigator Ozment with the Summerville Police Department told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that it is now believed the fires were caused by sparks from a truck that was pulling another truck up Commerce Street.
