* UNTIL 430 PM EST

* AT 337 PM EST… NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZED HAIL… AND DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM AROUND EVERETT SPRINGS TO SOUTHEAST OF SUMMERVILLE TO CHATTOOGAVILLE… MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO ROME… CALHOUN… RESACA… PLAINVILLE… SHANNON… ADAIRSVILLE AND KINGSTON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED… ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE… SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.

DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM. ALTHOUGH CURRENT DATA DOES NOT INDICATE THE EXISTENCE OF A TORNADO… A TORNADO MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED… ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE… SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
