Severe weather rolled through Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama on Friday evening but there was no severe damage reported. 

The National Weather Service first issued severe thunderstorm warnings at 6:13 PM for Cherokee County, Alabama and Chattooga and Floyd County Georgia.  A tornado warning was later issued for Floyd and Bartow Counties in Georgia.

Floyd and Bartow County EMS officials reported funnel clouds, but there was no reported touch down or severe damage reported.  In Chattooga County the heavy lightning was the major concern.
