IN THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S CASE AGAINST SAM PARKER… SOME EVIDENCE WILL BE ALLOWED… BUT SOME WILL NEVER BE HEARD BY THE JURY. PARKER IS ACCUSED OF MURDER IN THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE, WALKER COUNTY 911 DISPATCHER THERESA PARKER… MISSING SINCE MARCH OF 2007. JUDGE BO WOOD WILL ALLOW THE TESTIMONY OF TWO SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES… BUT WILL NOT ALLOW TESTIMONY FROM THE HANDLERS OF CADAVER DOGS INVOLVED IN THE INVESTIGATION. THE DEPUTIES CONDUCTED A "WELFARE CHECK" AT THE COUPLE’S HOME, AFTER A CALL FROM CO-WORKERS AT THE 9-1-1 CENTER EXPRESSED CONCERN FOR MRS. PARKER. SHE AND HER HUSBAND WERE GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE AT THE TIME. JURY SELECTION WILL BEGIN MONDAY IN BARTOW COUNTY… CONSIDERED FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO AVOID PRE-TRIAL PUBLICITY. THE MURDER TRIAL WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, AUGUST 17th IN WALKER COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT.
