Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin is alerting Georgians to the recall of a split pea soup product because it contains ingredients that are not listed on the label.
Faribault Foods of Faribault, Minn. is recalling their Health Valley Split Pea Soup because it contains a milk protein that is not listed on the label. The product also contains potatoes, which are not listed on the label:
Health Valley Organic No Salt Added Split Pea Soup (15 ounce)
UPC CODE# 35742-22104, Lot codes: 22JUL2011, 18AUG2011 and 11SEP2011
The lot code can be found on the bottom of each individual soup can.
The recalled product was distributed to food stores nationwide. No other lot codes of this product or any other Health Valley product is affected in any way.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk protein run the risk of health problems or illness if they consume this product.
