The Summerville News is reporting today that local attorney Sanford "Buddy" Hill will be appointed as state court solicitor.  Just last month, AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio had asked the governor’s office when a solicitor would be appointed, and the governor’s spokesperson said that the governor’s office had not had time to conduct the "proper interviews" for the job.

Hill told the local paper that he received a call saying he would be appointed the next state court solicitor sometime in May.  Chattooga County State Court has been shut down since the resignation of former solicitor Tim Perry who quit the job so he could run for state court judge.

Hill told the paper that at then end of two years he will run for the job he is being appointed to.
