State Court Judge Sam Finster announced on Thursday that State Court is back up and running in Chattooga County.  In May, Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Buddy Hill as Chattooga County’s State Court Solicitor.  State Court had come to a stand-still after the resignation of Tim Perry as State Court Solicitor earlier this year.  Perry is running for State Court Judge against Finster this fall.

According to a notice from Judge Finster:

If you received a citation prior to the first day of May, 2010, you may now pay your ticket at the Courthouse in Summerville.  State Court will be in session starting on July12, 2010.  If your current mailing address is different from the address on your driver’s license, you must call the State Court Clerk at 706-857-0677 and inform them of your current mailing address.

Subpoenas will be mailed on June 29, 2010.  It is your responsibility to ensure your subpoena gets to the proper address and you appear for State Court at the correct time.
