The Georgia State Election Board has closed a case in Chattooga County that was brought by Chattooga County residents Betty Brady and Tom Everett.

Brady and Everett had filed a complaint with the election board saying that a family member of the former Sheriff was campaigning within 150 feet of a polling place and that an employee of former Sheriff Ralph Kellett mishandled absentee ballots during the run-off election.

The State Election Board voted unanimously to close the case on a recommendation by the Inspector General of the State Election Board Shawn LeGrua.

The State Election Board met on Monday of this week.
