THE GEORGIA DEPT. OF LABOR REPORTS THAT THE STATE’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE WAS 9.2 PERCENT IN MARCH… UNCHANGED FROM FEBRUARY.  THAT’S SIGNIFICANT BECAUSE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN 20 MONTHS THAT THE RATE DID NOT INCREASE OVER THE PREVIOUS MONTH.  3,000 JOBS WERE ADDED IN MARCH – THE FIRST MONTHLY INCREASE SINCE OCTOBER, 2008.  AND DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF APRIL, INITIAL JOBLESS CLAIMS IN GEORGIA GREW AT ABOUT HALF THE PAST YEAR’S PACE… A GOOD SIGN.
