Several students received special recognition at this week’s school board meeting by the Chattooga County Board of Education.  CHS’s Rashad Ramsey recently received a scholarship and signed to play footbal at the University of West Georgia.  Brenna Busbin and Jared Nelson were chosen as Star Student for the year and Michelle Broome was chosen Star Teacher by the two Star Students.

Also, Patrick Strawn was presented with the school’s highest Agriculutral honor by Monsanto Co.   He received the award for excellence in academics, leadership and Agricultural work experience.  Kevin Dooley who lives at Cloudland and goes to Menlo school was recognized by the Chattooga County Board of Education for being the 1st Place Winner of the County Spelling Bee for the 4th thru the 9th grade. 

Each student and teacher was presented with a Certificate by Chattooga County BOE Chairman Mr. Fuzz Anderson representing the BOE.  Assistant School Superintindent Mrs. Emily Bolton stated that it is very important to recognize the students & teachers accomplishments and the schools as well.
