Looking for something fun and educational for the kids this summer? Check out the “Make a Splash Read” – Summer reading program at the Chattooga County Library. This week the library will host a Farm Bureau Food Safety event at 10:30 at the Summerville Branch and 1:30 at the Trion Branch. On Thursday a summer movie will be shown at 2:00 at the Summerville Branch, and on Friday the snakes of Georgia will make an appearance at both libraries. The program will feature snakes native to our home state and will begin at 10:30am in Summerville and at 1:30 in Trion. On Saturday the University of Georgia Museum of Art will host a watercolor workshop from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Summerville Library. The calendar is full of fun events for kids.
