While the Georgia Northwestern Mustangs went down in defeat last Friday night in a game against Chattahoochee Tech by a score of 101-77, a Chattooga County resident "stole the show."

The big story of the night for the Mustangs starred a 31-year-old from Summerville, Georgia. Tim “Ham” Finley was averaging just a handful of points a game before last Friday night. For the first time this year, the elder statesman of the Georgia Northwestern (6-7) squad outscored his nephew prep phenom, Perie Finley. Perie, an all-region forward for Chattooga High School last year, became a freshman on the roster at the same time as his much older relative. However, it was “Ham” who beefed up his performance Friday with 18 points going thru the nets; 16 of his points coming in the second stanza. Nephew Perie contributed ten points in the loss.
