The City of Summerville is considering applying for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for a Community Development Block Grant of up to $500,000 for the Fairway and Highland Avenue areas.  The activities for which these funds may be used are in the areas of housing, public facilities and economic development and the proposed funds must be used to benefit low and moderate income residents.  A public hearing on the matter will be held on Tuesday March 31^st at the Fairway Recreation Center in Summerville at 5 PM.
