Someone broke into Medi-Thrift Pharmacy in LaFayette Sunday, July 11, and stole several hundred pain pills.

According to LaFayette public safety director Tommy Freeman:

Shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday, the burglar used an object to break out the front glass. A surveillance camera cap-tured the burglary, showing a male dressed in dark clothing and “covered from head to toe” enter the pharmacy and go to the back of the building as he steals hundreds of pain killers.

The burglary only lasted about two minutes and no other items were stolen.

Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to contact either Darin Kelley, lead detective on the case, or detective Stacey Meeks at the LaFayette Police Department at 706-639-1540.
