The Associated Press was reporting on Friday afternoon that the GBI has ruled the death of Theresa Parker a homicide.  The GBI has wrapped up it’s investigation in the case and has returned the remains of Theresa Parker that were discovered in Chattooga County last week to the family.

Parker’s family has said that they will announce the plans for Theresa’s funeral to the public.  Sources say that the body was released to Lane Funeral Home in Ft. Ogelthorpe, Georgia.

Sam Parker, the estranged husband of Theresa Parker, is serving a life sentence for the murder of Theresa Parker.  He was sentenced to life in prison in September of 2008 by Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Judge "Bo" Wood.  Parker’s attorney has filed an appeal in the case.  Sources say that Sam Parker’s lawyers were in Chattooga County last week at the scene where the skeletal remains of Theresa Parker were found by a farm worker near the Chattooga River.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated that no signs of blunt force trauma were found on the skeletal remains.
