Sheriff’s deputies in nearby Cherokee County, Georgia recieved a tip to check out a remote wooded area on land leased by a hunting club. Upon investigation, deputies found more than 9,300 marijuana plants growing in two irrigated fields. There was evidence that someone was watching the plants, but no arrests were made. According to the GBI, each plant was valued at $1,200, making the find worth over $11 million. The investigation is continuing.
