Tonya Craft, the 37 year old former Chickamauga Kindergarten teacher accused of molesting students was found not guilty in Catoosa County Superior Court on Tuesday. The jury in the trial began deliberations on Monday and by Tuesday afternoon had reached a not guilty verdict on all 22 counts that had been brought against the former teacher.
Craft left the Catoosa County Courthouse and held a news conference at her parents home in Ringgold where she told reporters that she was looking forward to reuninting with her child. Craft is leaving for New York City where she is expected to make the rounds of the talk show circuits this week.
Craft hinted to reporters that she might now follow a career in law, an area she said has always been a desire of hers, to help others in similar situations.
