The Town of Lyerly has announced a special called meeting for this evening at 6 PM at the Lyerly City Hall Conference Room.  AM 1180 has been told that the meeting will involve the mayor and town council of Lyerly along with the mayor and town council of Summerville.

The two municipalities are having a disagreement regarding the application for a half million dollar grant by the City of Summerville that would build a water line from the City of Summerville’s water plant on Filter Plant Road to the Mohawk plant in Lyerly.  Lyerly does not want to give up their largest water customer to the City of Summerville.
