The Town of Lyerly has announced their monthly work session for the month of August.  The meeting will be held this Tuesday evening at the Lyerly Town Hall Conference room at 7 PM.  According to Lyerly Town Clerk Joy Hampton the meeting will cover the following topics:

Property tax write-off

Recreation Director

Park Useage

Millage Rate

The three former officers of Lyery’s Recreation Department all resigned at last months Lyerly Town Council Meeting.  Also the treasurer of the Lyerly Recreation Department closed out the treasurer’s account and presented a check to the Town of Lyerly for $7,182.05.  The council is expected to discuss the future of the Recreation Department at the work session and upcoming town council meeting.

The work session is open to the public.
