The Trion Board of Education sustained damage from last month’s flood and has now made plans to lease a house in Trion for Board of Education offices.  The home’s owner, Russ Jennings, a former Trion Board of Education member and now a resident of Rome, told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that he was happy to hear of the decision by the board.  The Jennings’ home has been on the market for some time.  The house is located at the corner of the intersection of Simmons Street and Central Avenue.  Trion City School’s insurance company will be responsible for paying for the year’s lease with Jennings family and according to the school board tax payers won’t have to foot the bill for the one year lease.
