The 51 year old organist at the Trion First Baptist Church remains in the Chattooga County Jail charged with stealing over $50,000 from the church.
According to reports, Chattooga County Sheriff Investigator Larry Kellett stated that Marsha Sue Giddens is accused of stealing the money over the past year. The church became aware of the missing funds when First National Bank called last week to tell the church that their bank account was over-drawn. The church pastor, Dr. Floyd Roebuck and the deacons thought that there was over $25,000 in the church’s checking account.
