The Town of Trion will hold an open public meeting this evening concerning the demotion of former Trion Police Chief Charles Latta.  Mayor Benny Perry stated that Latta’s demotion was the result of several problems that had built up over time.  In the mean time, former police chief Latta has hired a Rome attorney to represent him at the hearing that is scheduled for 6 PM this evening at the Trion Town Hall Council Room
