The Trion Bulldogs ended their season on the road Friday night with a 30-8 loss to Bremen.  Both teams combined for five fumbles in the first half.  Bremen scored two touchdowns off of two Trion fumbles.  However, Trion was unable to score any points off of three Bremen fumbles which proved to be a costly mistake for the Bulldogs.

 

Bremen would get on the board first by recording a safety on the Trion offense with 1:48 left to go in the 1st quarter.  On the next possession, Bremen’s senior running back Eric O’Neal would score on a 25 yard touchdown run.  The Blue Devils added a 2 point conversion to take a 10-0 lead.  Bremen would strike again with 10:56 left to go in the 2nd quarter on a 40 yard touchdown pass to Trent McClure to take a 17-0 lead into halftime.

 

Things didn’t go much better in the second half for the Bulldogs.  With 7:20 left to go in the 3rd quarter, senior quarterback Brent Copleland would score from 1 yard out to put the Blue Devils up 24-0.  Trion would finally get on the board with 1:34 left to go in the 3rd quarter when Blake Bethune scored from 2 yards out to make the score 24-8.  Bremen would tack on one final score with 8:26 left in the game when Copeland scored his 3rd touchdown of the night to make the final score 30-8.

 

Trion finished the 2011 season with a 2-8 overall record and a 2-5 region record.  AM 1180 would like to thank all of the coaches and players for their efforts in the 2011 season and we look forward to next year!
