A Trion man was arrested last Thursday morning after police said he had multiple traffic violations, including DUI and failing to stop for an accident.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Paco Pablo Mendoza, 20, of 201 First St. in Trion, was arrested by Rome police around 9 a.m. He was charged with DUI, duty of driver to stop at the scene of an accident, striking an unattended vehicle, driving without a license, driving illegally on roadways, no proof of insurance and driving without valid registration.

Police said he allegedly hit another vehicle while driving under the influence before leaving the scene. When police stopped him, he did not have proper paperwork for the vehicle nor a valid driver’s license.

Mendoza remains in jail on $7,934 bail.
