The Trion Town Council has put forth their proposed budget for the 2008-2009 year.  The figures show an increase in predicted revenues for the Town from $12.1 Million to just over $16 Million for the coming year.  Expenses are also expected to increase for the town from around $12 Million to just over $15 Million in the upcoming year.  The Town of Trion presented the budget at the Trion Town Hall yesterday.  AM 1180 will have more on the Trion Budget process in upcoming news casts.

The meeting on Monday morning was not well attended.  Mayor Benny Perry along with councilmen Chris Woods, James Russell, John Simmons and Johnny Ingles along with the town secretary and AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News were the only ones in attendence at the first hearing of the budget.  Mayor Perry stated that since no one was there they would not review the budget.  AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News did not receive notice of the meeting until almost 5 PM on last Friday.
