The flat screen television burlglaries have been going on for several months in the Cloudland and Mentone areas with 30-40 televisions stolen in Alabama and around 5 in Cloudland. Some of those TV’s stolen in Alabama are showing up in Georgia pawn shops according to the investigator.
Kellett said that the burglars are not taking much of anything except for flat scree televisions and that several homes have been broken into where there were no flat screens and nothing has been taken.
The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department and the DeKalb County Alabama Sheriff’s department are cooperating on the investigation.
