SERIOUS VANDALISM AT LAFAYETTE MIDDLE SCHOOL OVER THE WEEKEND… AND TWO HAVE BEEN ARRESTED, ACCORDING TO LAFAYETTE POLICE.  18 YEAR OLD JEREMY CRABTREE… A STUDENT AT LAFAYETTE HIGH SCHOOL… AND A LAFAYETTE MIDDLE SCHOOL 7th GRADER ARE CHARGED IN THE INCIDENT.  SUSPECTS WERE CAUGHT ON SURVEILLANCE VIDEO.   PRINCIPAL MIKE CULBERSON SAID THE VANDALS SPRAYED FIRE EXTINGUISHERS FROM CEILING TO FLOOR… A SECURITY CAMERA WAS TORN DOWN… MOBILE CLASSROOMS WERE DAMAGED… WINDOWS WERE SHATTERED… PHONES AND TV’S WERE RIPPED FROM WALLS.  EARLY ESTIMATES PLACE THE DAMAGE AT $10,500… BUT THAT’S EXPECTED TO INCREASE.  TEACHERS AND CUSTODIAL CREWS WORKED THE WEEKEND TO CLEAN UP THE MESS AT LAFAYETTE MIDDLE SCHOOL.
