The Dade County Sheriff’s Office says one of their deputies saw a vehicle traveling on Interstate 24, and after the vehicle passed, the driver turned the lights off. As the deputy caught up, the vehicle began to flee to Marion County, Tennessee but turned around at the Haletown exit, returning to Dade County.
The vehicle’s occupants drove down a driveway and fled the vehicle on foot, entering the woods. The deputy found the suspects and discovered that they fell from a 30-foot cliff, landing on rocks below. As the deputy rendered aid to the suspects, EMS, Fire and Mountain Rescue also responded to the incident and extracted the suspects.
