A vehicle pursuit on Interstate 24 in Dade County, Georgia sent two suspects to the hospital on October 8 after they fled on foot and fell off a cliff.

The Dade County Sheriff’s Office says one of their deputies saw a vehicle traveling on Interstate 24, and after the vehicle passed, the driver turned the lights off.  As the deputy caught up, the vehicle began to flee to Marion County, Tennessee but turned around at the Haletown exit, returning to Dade County.

The vehicle’s occupants drove down a driveway and fled the vehicle on foot, entering the woods. The deputy found the suspects and discovered that they fell from a 30-foot cliff, landing on rocks below. As the deputy rendered aid to the suspects, EMS, Fire and Mountain Rescue also responded to the incident and extracted the suspects.

The male suspect was flown to the hospital, while the female suspect was taken by ground ambulance.  The suspects’ vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of Chattanooga. The suspects’ names haven’t been released and an investigation is ongoing.
