Thursday the Georgia Department of Labor is expected to release county by county numbers regarding unemployment in Georgia.  Good news came last week when the Department of Labor released figures that showed that Georgia’s unemployment rate had stabilized for the first time in many months.

Meanwhile in neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama the jobless rate is on the rise.  Ft. Payne and DeKalb County reported the highest unemployment in Northeast Alabama late last week according to the Alabama Department of Labor with a rate of 12.1%.  Centre, Alabama had a jobless rate of 10%, down from over 11% in February.
