AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported last Friday that unemployment in Chattooga County was up 75% over this time last year.  The counties around Chattooga County show even higher numbers.  Unemployment in both Walker and Floyd counties is up 92% over this time last year.  In Catoosa County the number is 102% and in Polk County a staggering 242%.  These numbers reflect people who are making first time claims for unemployment.
