An Alabama man is in custody in the DeKalb County Jail in Ft. Payne after attempting to flee from Dade County, Georgia.  The vehicle was eventually stopped in Chattooga County and the Leesburg man that was driving the car was arrested by Alabama law enforcement officers. The chase began on Friday afternoon in Dade County and went through Mentone, Alabama and ended up in Chattooga County.  According to reports the male driver had outstanding warrants and faces additional charges in the incident. Chattooga County law enforcement reportedly interviewed the suspect at the scene of the final traffic stop about a rash of burglaries that have happened in Mentone and Cloudland.  In these burglaries only flat screen televisions have been stolen.  It is not known if the driver of the car stopped on Friday had any connection to these burglaries.
