A 23-month-old child has died, after being run-over by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Leesburg, with that incident occurring at a residence on County Road 42, off of Highway 411 south at around 8:20pm. Cherokee County Coroner Don Rogers, sadi that details surrounding the case will be released once the investigation has been completed.

Cherokee EMS transported the child, now identified as Jaxon McSpadden of Leesburg, to Cherokee Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Rogers said that the child’s body has been sent to Huntsville for an autopsy – a procedure which is required in the death of a child.
