AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported yesterday that 23 year old Joseph Randall Scoggins of a Gore – Subligna Road address in Summerville was arrested on charges of rape.  We now know that this is not the first time that Scoggins has been charged with sexual crimes. 

Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio yesterday that Scoggins turned himself in to investigators on the rape charges, however earlier this year Scoggins had been charged with crimes involving sexual contact with a minor. 

Scoggins remains in the Chattooga County Jail.
