Suspended State Court Judge Carlton Vines was released from the Chattooga County Jail after being indicted on several felony charges that stemmed from voter irregularities in the 2006 State Court Jude election in Chattooga County.  According to information received from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department Vines was released on his own recognizance.

Vines indictment came after grand jurors heard from state investigators who claim that Vines committed fraud in the 2006 election.  The grand jurors handed down the indictment after 5 PM on Friday afternoon.  AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News has heard from many listeners regarding the indictment of Vines, at this time we do not know when the case will be coming to trial.  Stay tuned to AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio News for updates on this story.
