Damage from the floods of September have caused election officials in the Town of Trion to make alternate plans concerning early voting and changes regarding election day which is Tuesday, November 3rd. Election officials told AM 1180 Chattooga County radio yesterday that absentee voting will begin tomorrow and Trion residents can pick up absentee ballots at the Trion Wastewater Treatment plant located at 15131 Highway 27 in Trion. Voters may vote at the Wastewater Treatment plant or request a ballot by mail.
Advanced voting will be held starting Monday, October 26th at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and continue through Friday, October 30th. The November 3rd election polling place for the Town of Trion election will be at the Trion Library located at 15 Bulldog Blvd. in Trion. Trion voters will be voting for school board positions, mayor and council seats in the upcoming election.
